Brenda Hillman
Brenda Hillman (ur. 1951) – amerykańska poetka i tłumaczka. Profesorka w Saint Mary’s College of California. Autorka dziesięciu książek poetyckich. Za wydany w 2009 roku tom Practical Water otrzymała LA Times Book Award for Poetry, za Seasonal Works with Letters on Fire (2014) Griffin Poetry Prize, a za Extra Hidden Life, among the Days (2018) Northern California Book Award for Poetry. Z kolei wydany w 1993 roku tom Bright Existence znalazł się w finale nagrody Pulitzera. Współredagowała The Grand Permission: New Writings on Poetics and Motherhood (2003) oraz Writing the Silences, New California Poetry (2010). Laureatka wielu prestiżowych nagród poetyckich, między innymi Academy of American Poets Fellowship i William Carlos Williams Prize, a także stypendiów Guggenheima i National Endowment for the Arts. Od 2016 r. pełni funkcję Chancellor for the Academy of American Poets.
